From pure natural fibres to considered blends, we select yarn around the intended handle, garment weight, stitch and price direction.
Natural fibres
Cashmere
A soft, light handle with gentle loft. For refined sweaters, fine-gauge layers and softly textured pieces.
Wool
Warmth, natural resilience and versatile structure. From smooth fine-gauge knitwear to more substantial stitches.
Cotton
A breathable, typically matte handle with clear stitch definition. For everyday knitwear and lighter seasonal collections.
Linen & other bast fibres
A dry touch and natural surface character. For airy summer knits and relaxed textures; the exact fibre is specified for each yarn.
Silk
A smooth handle, fluid drape and natural lustre. For lightweight layers and refined surfaces.
Blended yarns
Cashmere / Wool
Combines cashmere softness with wool’s resilience. A versatile direction for soft, structured knitwear.
Wool / Cotton
Pairs wool’s spring with cotton’s drier touch. Useful for transitional weights and understated surfaces.
Wool / Silk
Brings together wool’s body and silk’s fluidity. For fine-gauge pieces with subtle sheen and drape.
Cashmere / Silk
A soft, smooth combination with gentle lustre. For delicate layers and refined lightweight knitwear.
Other blends
Cotton, linen, silk and multi-fibre combinations can be explored against the design brief. Composition and performance are reviewed yarn by yarn.
These notes describe general material directions, not fixed specifications. Fibre grade, blend ratio, yarn count, twist, stitch and finishing all influence the result. Exact composition, gauge suitability and care requirements are confirmed through sampling.
